"content": "Shipping & Delivery Last updated: August 2026 Where we deliver We deliver right across Hong Kong: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories, including the outlying islands. Ordering from outside Hong Kong? Contact us first and we will confirm delivery options for your address. What it costs Express delivery is a flat HK$150. Orders of HK$550 or more are delivered free. The charge is shown at checkout before you pay, and it is charged as a delivery option rather than as a line item, so a discount code only ever reduces the price of the goods. There is no VAT or GST in Hong Kong, so no tax is added to either the goods or the delivery. How long it takes Allow 5 to 7 days for delivery within Hong Kong, plus 24 to 48 hours of order handling before dispatch. Screens are prepared to order rather than picked off a shelf, which is what takes the time. We will tell you if anything is going to run longer than that. Tracking Every order ships with tracking. You get a link by email as soon as your order leaves us. For logistical reasons, items in the same purchase are sometimes sent in separate parcels, each with its own tracking. If a tracking email has not arrived, check your spam folder first, then contact us with your order number and we will resend it. If a parcel is late, lost or damaged If a parcel is lost or arrives damaged, contact us with your order number and we sort it out, either by replacing the order or refunding it. You do not need to chase the carrier yourself; that is our job, and your rights over goods that arrive damaged are covered on the Refunds & Returns page. Getting your address right Please check the delivery address before you pay. If a parcel comes back to us because the address was wrong or nobody could take delivery, we will resend it, though a second delivery charge may apply.",

"summary": "A 15-day return window, offered as our own store policy: Hong Kong law has no general cooling-off period for online purchases. Goods must be unused and in their original packaging; a HK$300 per-order handling fee applies to change-of-mind returns. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods are put right at no cost under the Sale of Goods Ordinance (Cap. 26). Screens already cut to your own measurements cannot be returned as unwanted.",
"content": "Refunds & Returns Last updated: August 2026 Our 15-day return policy If you are not happy with your purchase, you can return it within 15 days of purchase for an exchange or refund. This is our own store policy, offered voluntarily: Hong Kong law does not provide a general cooling-off period for online purchases, so this window is a commitment we make to you rather than a statutory right. To be eligible for a change-of-mind return, the product must have been purchased in the last 15 days, be unused and in its original packaging, and be accompanied by your order confirmation or proof of purchase from this website. A HK$300 per-order handling fee applies to change-of-mind returns (it covers the original packing and handling), and return shipping to the warehouse your order was sent from is paid by the sender. We cannot accept returns of purchases made from third-party retailers. One thing to know before you reach for the scissors: a screen that has been cut down to your window has been made to your measurements and cannot be resold, so please contact us before cutting if you have any doubt about size or fit. Cancelling an order Orders can be cancelled until they ship. Most orders are dispatched within 24 to 48 hours, so if you need to change or cancel a paid order, contact us within 12 hours of ordering. A 12.5% service and processing fee applies to cancellations of paid orders. Once packing and shipping has started, the order can no longer be cancelled and the return policy above applies instead. What you get back Refunds are processed within 24 to 48 hours of the returned item reaching us, to your original payment method (your card via Stripe, or your PayPal account). If you prefer, we can hold the amount as store credit against a future order instead. If something is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered Contact us straight away and we will put it right at no cost to you. Under the Sale of Goods Ordinance (Cap. 26), goods sold in the course of business carry implied conditions that they correspond with their description, are of merchantable quality and are reasonably fit for their purpose. Those rights sit alongside our own policy, are not affected by the HK$300 handling fee or the 15-day window, and cannot be taken away from you as a consumer by anything in our terms (Control of Exemption Clauses Ordinance, Cap. 71). The same applies if your order never arrives. Screens made to your measurements If we make a screen to the measurements you give us, for example through our quote service, it is made to your own specification and cannot go back into stock, so the 15-day change-of-mind window does not apply once we have started making it. We say this on the quote form too, so you know before you order. A standard size that you cut down yourself at home is different: it keeps the full 15-day window until you cut it. Faulty or incorrect made-to-measure items are always put right; nothing here touches your statutory rights over defects. How to start a return Email theteam@insectscreenshongkong.com with your order number and tell us whether you are returning, cancelling or reporting a fault. We reply with the return address and the next step. Please do not send anything back before you hear from us, so your parcel does not go astray. Consumer dispute resolution If a dispute arises we would much rather settle it with you directly, so please contact us first. If we cannot resolve it, the Hong Kong Consumer Council assists consumers with complaints and conciliation at consumer.org.hk , and monetary claims up to HK$75,000 can be brought in the Small Claims Tribunal .",

"summary": "How Magnetic Screens collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data, including cookies and analytics.",
"content": "Privacy Policy Last updated: August 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how Magnetic Screens Company (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, \"we\", \"us\" or \"our\") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit insectscreenshongkong.com or buy from us. We handle personal data in line with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) (\"PDPO\") and its Data Protection Principles. Who is responsible The data user for the purposes of the PDPO is Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, trading as Magnetic Screens Company. Our Hong Kong address and our registered address are both in the footer of every page and on the About page. You can reach us about anything on this page at theteam@insectscreenshongkong.com . What we collect and why Order data. Your name, email address, delivery address, phone number and order contents. We collect these because we need them to fulfil your order, which is the purpose you provide them for (Data Protection Principle 1). We never see or store your full card number: payments go through Stripe or PayPal, who handle card data themselves. Enquiry data. What you send us through a contact or quote form, so we can answer you. It is used for that purpose and nothing else without your consent (Data Protection Principle 3). Analytics data. Only if you consent. See the Cookie Policy for what is set and how to change your mind. How long we keep it Personal data is not kept longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected for (Data Protection Principle 2). Order records are kept for as long as Hong Kong tax and company law requires, which is generally seven years for business records under section 51C of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap. 112). Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted once the matter is closed and there is no longer a reason to keep them. Who we share it with Only the parties needed to get your order to you and to run the site: our payment providers (Stripe, PayPal), our email provider, our delivery partners, and our hosting and analytics providers. They process data on our instructions, or as data users in their own right where they set their own purposes, as payment providers do. We do not sell your data. Some of these providers process data outside Hong Kong. Where they do, we use providers who commit contractually to protections substantially similar to the PDPO's Data Protection Principles. Your rights Under sections 18 to 22 of the PDPO you have the right to ask whether we hold personal data about you, to request a copy of it, and to have it corrected if it is inaccurate. You can also withdraw any consent you have given, including consent to analytics cookies, at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at theteam@insectscreenshongkong.com . We respond within the 40 days the PDPO allows, and normally much faster. You can also complain to the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD), the Hong Kong regulator, at pcpd.org.hk . Security The site runs over HTTPS, payment pages are handled by our payment providers, and access to order data is limited to the people who need it to fulfil your order (Data Protection Principle 4).",

"summary": "The terms that apply when you use the website and buy from Magnetic Screens.",
"content": "Terms & Conditions Last updated: August 2026 These Terms & Conditions govern your use of insectscreenshongkong.com and any purchase you make from Magnetic Screens Company (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, \"we\", \"us\" or \"our\"). By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. Our Hong Kong and registered addresses are in the footer of every page and on the About page. How a contract is formed The products shown on this site are an invitation to you to place an order, not a binding offer. Your order is the offer. A contract comes into being when we accept it, which we do by sending you an order confirmation email or by dispatching the goods, whichever happens first. Prices and payment All prices are in Hong Kong dollars (HK$). Hong Kong levies no VAT, GST or sales tax, so the price shown is the price charged. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay: HK$150 flat, or free on orders of HK$550 and over. Payment is taken at checkout by card through Stripe or through PayPal. We do not store your full card details. If a price is obviously wrong, for example through a typing error, we will tell you before dispatch and you can confirm the corrected price or cancel at no cost. Delivery We deliver throughout Hong Kong. Times, costs and what to do if a parcel goes missing are on the Shipping page. Cutting a screen to size Every standard screen is designed to be cut down at home to fit your own opening. Order the size above your measurement. Once you have cut a screen it cannot be returned as unwanted, though your rights over faulty goods are unaffected. Screens we make to your measurements are covered separately on the Refunds & Returns page. Returns We offer a 15-day return window as our own store policy. Hong Kong law does not provide a general cooling-off period for online purchases, so this window is a voluntary commitment rather than a statutory right, and the details, conditions and fees are on the Refunds & Returns page. Your statutory rights over faulty goods are separate and unaffected. Faults and guarantees Goods we sell carry the implied conditions of the Sale of Goods Ordinance (Cap. 26): they must correspond with their description, be of merchantable quality and be reasonably fit for their purpose. Where we provide a service, the Supply of Services (Implied Terms) Ordinance (Cap. 457) implies that it is carried out with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits those rights, and as against a consumer they cannot be excluded (Control of Exemption Clauses Ordinance, Cap. 71). Acceptable use Please do not misuse the site: no attempting to break into it, no scraping it for a competing catalogue, and no using it for anything unlawful. We may withdraw access if you do. Our liability Our liability is set out on the Limited Liability Indemnity page. Nothing there or here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Hong Kong law. Changes to these terms We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. Governing law and disputes These Terms are governed by the law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections of the place you live in that would otherwise apply to you. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected. We would much rather settle any dispute with you directly, so please contact us first. If we cannot resolve it, the Hong Kong Consumer Council assists with consumer complaints at consumer.org.hk , and monetary claims up to HK$75,000 can be brought in the Small Claims Tribunal .",
