This Cookie Policy explains how Magnetic Screens Company (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on insectscreenshongkong.com. Hong Kong has no dedicated cookie law; where cookies involve personal data, the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) applies, and the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data has published guidance on online tracking. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. Some are needed for the site to work at all. Others tell us how the site is being used, and those only run if you say yes.

Strictly necessary cookies

These keep your basket contents between pages and remember your cookie choice. Without them the service you asked for cannot be delivered, so they are set for as long as the session or the choice needs to last.

Analytics cookies

These are set by Google Analytics and only after you agree. Hong Kong law does not require opt-in consent for analytics cookies; asking first is our own practice, kept because it is the standard we run across all our stores. They tell us which pages people read and where they stop, so we can fix the parts that are not working. They do not identify you by name.

Changing your mind

You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and it takes effect from that moment on. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop the basket working.

Third parties

Our payment providers, Stripe and PayPal, set their own cookies when you reach the payment step, and they explain those in their own policies. We do not control them.
